Cooked meats: Ensure they are plain, free of seasonings and not too rich in fat.
Potatoes: Cooked and plain, not green, no stems or leaves.
Vegetables: carrots, cucumber, peas, green beans, cabbage, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, bell pepper, zucchini, brussel sprouts, spinach*, kale*
Fruit: blueberries, strawberries, oranges*, watermelon, apples (without seeds and core), bananas, cantaloupe, blackberries*, cranberries, mangoes, honeydew, raspberries*, pineapple*, peach*, pear
*Feed in moderation
For all fruit remove seeds and skin.
Peanut butter can also be given in moderation, as long as it is free of xylitol. It’s excellent for stuffing Kongs, as are low-fat liver pate and fish potato mash.
